Allan and I are on another adventure, returning to Italy for a weeks walking adventure.
We originally looked at Lake Maggiore but as we are early in the season the key accommodation weren't open during the week, the guys at On Foot Holidays suggested this walk following the "Via del Sale" from Little Tuscany to the sea at Camogli.
Holiday and flights booked, early Saturday 5th May we were on the train to Birmingham airport for our flight to Milan, a seamless transfer in both airports has us at the train station, not having the courage to use an automated machine we went to the ticket office and bought a through ticket from Malpensa airport to Milan Centrale arriving at Voghera we were 30 minutes early so a call to Paul the contact in Italy had the taxi bought forward and we were at out first nights accommodation Villa Arabella.

We were invited to dine outside with Paul and Arabella, a perfect relaxed start to the week.
